The Ministry of Chocolate is a family-owned and run business producing high quality chocolate made on-site and supplied to a number of businesses including luxury hotels, wineries and specialty chocolate stores.
From humble beginnings at Farmer’s Markets across Melbourne, husband-and-wife team Drew and Karin Maddison found it increasingly difficult to produce their wares at home with two young boys wanting to taste test EVERYTHING so they took the leap and opened a large-scale kitchen.
Led by esteemed pastry chef and chocolatier Drew Maddison, the Ministry of Chocolate is unique in its approach, allowing its customers to see and feel connected to the production process – a concept based on practices seen in Europe.
With a strong focus on high quality product as well as delivery on time and without defect, The Ministry of Chocolate team believes that Australia’s high quality food resources separates it from other resource-based economies and remains committed to maintaining a connection to the farm gate.
Since trading commenced, the Ministry of Chocolate has forged a number of international relationships based on the high quality of its product and business process, as well as collaborating innovatively with a number of craft brewers, wineries and boutique food producers including Mountain Goat Brewery, Cockatoo Grove Olive Oil and Daintree Estates.
